The Challenge
MAB Accounting & Tax Services had no online presence at all. With no website, no Google Business Profile, and no digital footprint, the business was completely invisible to potential clients searching for accounting and tax services in Edmonton.
The Solution
I initially scoped the project as a WordPress build, but after assessing the client’s actual needs it became clear WordPress was overkill. The site needed to be fast, easy to maintain, and focused on converting visitors into appointments not managing a complex CMS with plugins and overhead.
I switched to Astro with Sanity as the CMS, giving the client a lightweight, high-performance site they can update independently without any technical knowledge. Key features include a tax filing deadline countdown banner that updates automatically, appointment booking, and a clean services section.
The Results
The migration to Astro delivered near-perfect PageSpeed scores across the board on mobile:
